Return Policy: AKParts.com will gladly accept returns of merchandise purchased from us within 30 days. 15% restocking fee on all returns. Please contact us by phone or email for a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Packages without a return authorization number will be refused. Backshipping is the customer's responsiblity. We cannot return shipping expenses. We do not accept returns of individual pieces from parts kits. The entire kit must be returned in the same condition and packaging as it was received for a return credit to be issued. We will not accept products that have been tampered with or worked on, they must be returned as they were received. NO EXCEPTIONS. If customer has opened any sealed bag, the parts are not eligible for return. Any returns that are found to have been tampered with, will not receive a credit and will be sent back to the customer at their expense. Our parts are dye marked for security ID purposes. Any parts returned and found to be without the dye marks will not be eligible for return. For obvious reasons, we do not accept returned parts purchased from other vendors. This is fraud. To keep our costs as low as possible to our customers, AKParts.com does prosecute cases of Fraud.

Payment terms :Money order, Cashier's Check, Personal checks are also accepted but items cannot ship until the check clears your bank. This usually takes 7 to 10 working days. Please do not send cash! Cash will NOT be accepted.

Order Cancellation: There will be a minimum $10.00 fee or 8% of the total order whichever is higher billed to the customer to cancel an order once it has been submitted. Please understand all orders are processed manually and we are charged 3% of the total order to process your credit card, then another 5% of the total order to return funds for a cancellation. We do not pass on credit card fees to our customers but if you cancel we cannot lose money because of the cancellation.

Shipping Policy and locations: AKParts.com will ship your items within 1 to 4 business days of purchase unless there is a backordered item. Sorry, due to Customs regulations for individuals, NO Overseas Orders and NO APO Box addresses. We can ship to the United States ONLY. WE WILL NOT SHIP OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES OR ITS TERRITORIES. WE WILL NOT SHIP TO ANYWHERE WITHIN THE UNITED STATES IF ITEM(S) IS PROHIBITED BY LOCAL LAW. It is the customer's responsibility to know the law in his or her area. By placing an order you affirm that there is no law prohibiting you from ordering or receiving the ordered parts in your area. Please inspect your package for shipping damage.
If you receive a package and it is damaged you must report the damage to the shipping carrier immediately upon receipt.

Shipping Charges: We make our money from parts sales, not shipping charges, so we keep the shipping as low as possible and actual. There's never a handling fee. We try to utilize UPS Ground for deliveries. High capacity magazines are not shipped to the following states unless by special permit: RESIDENTS OF CA, MD, NJ, HI, DC, NYC, OR MA WITHOUT A SPECIAL PERMIT. or anywhere else they're not allowed unless by permit.

Grading of Parts: AKParts.com uses the NRA Antique and Collectible std of grading for gun parts. Please remember that a firearm that saw action in WW 1 or 2 will not grade on the modern gun NRA scale. Please inspect the scale below to determine advertised condition of parts grading.

FACTORY NEW: All original parts; 100% original finish; in perfect condition in every respect, inside and out.
EXCELLENT: All original parts; over 80% original finish; sharp lettering, numerals, and design on metal and wood; unmarred wood; fine bore.
FINE: All original parts; over 30% original finish; sharp lettering, numerals, and design on metal and wood; minor marks in wood; good bore.
VERY GOOD: All original parts; none to 30% original finish; original metal surfaces smooth with all edges sharp; clear lettering, numerals and design on metal; wood slightly scratched or bruised; bore disregarded for collectors firearms.
GOOD: Some minor replacement parts; metal smoothly rusted or lightly pitted in places, cleaned or reblued; principal lettering, numerals, and design on metal legible; wood refinished, scratched, bruised, or minor cracks repaired; in good working order.
FAIR: Some major parts replaced; minor replacement parts may be required; metal rusted, may be lightly pitted all over, vigorously cleaned or reblued; rounded edges on metal and wood; principal lettering, numerals, and design on metal partly obliterated; wood scratched, bruised, cracked, or repaired where broken; in fair working order or can be easily repaired and placed in working order.
POOR: Major and minor parts replaced; major replacement parts required and extensive restoration needed; metal deeply pitted; principal lettering, numerals, and design obliterated; wood badly scratched, bruised, cracked, or broken; mechanically inoperative; generally undesirable as a collector's firearm.

On like parts kits we also use an "A" thru "D" grading scale

"Grade A" is like new, these have 100% original finish remaining with only slight signs of use on the internal parts (some will have no indication of use at all). Bores are excellent to new. They will appear either unfired or test fired only from new rifles. This is as close to brand new as you'll find from a used parts kit.

"Grade B" is in Excellent condtion with very little wear. Minimum 80% original finish remaining. Most of the finish wear will be around the sling hook area some may have slight breaks in the finish on the corners. The B grades are from issued rifles that weren't used very much. Very little wear on the internal parts. Excellent bores with great rifling thru the entire bore.

"Grade C" has seen some use. Still in solid good condition but more wear on the finish and internal parts. 40% to 70% original finish remaining. These are from rifles that have seen some action. Bores will still be in good condition with none dark or shot out. The C grades will still make nice parts but will require more work than the better grades. These are definitely not new and can be used for replacement parts or non firing displays.

"Grade D" is in pretty poor condition. Some internal parts will need replaced or may be missing or broken. 0% to 40% original finish remaining. Bores will either be rusty or shot out with little or no rifling present. These are not found very often because we don't purchase the D sets. They're ok for a few replacement parts but best used for non firing displays only.
