Helpful AK-47 Bolt/Screw Build Pics Courtesy Quib
Quib at AR-15.com is an excellent builder and posted these helpful pics for his fellow builder's benefit. It's ok to copy these pics but please don't resell them or try to make money from them.
Looks like Quib uses metric fasteners instead of Std American Thread. I recommend US made fasteners but everyone has their own way of getting the job done. After a few builds you'll know what works best for you.
Ah, now we're back to the US made fasteners at the trigger guard----->
Grinding a bit on one side of the 8-32 nuts insures a good installation.  This lets you butt the nut against the receiver's inside walls. It's held in place by the receiver wall while you tighten the button heads with an allen wrench. The nut cannot turn, so it cannot work loose.
Some bolt kits on the market have undersized nuts for the trigger guard. I believe this is a mistake for 2 reasons. First, the undersized nuts are designed for use in electronics applications and are not very strong. Second, the nuts can turn, and if they can turn, they can work loose.
